Employment UK wage for 16 yr old. How much can she expect ?

Our daughter leaves "school" legally June 30 (although she is Home taught). She is going to college in Sept and wants a fill in job for 6 weeks. She had a saturday job and they have given her a superb open ref. She did 1 wk volunteer work at an RAF base last Oct and she also got 2 fab ref from both the sergeant and the Warrant Officer, aparrantly unheard of the base co-ordinator told us. 3 wks later she got a call from the base Squadron Leader asking her when she would be 17 as he would like her to work on his base - she wants to be a chef in the RAF. Any idea of what � she can expect for say shop work or reception work until Sept. She thinks it will be about �5 ph is she close at all ? Thanks
