All u men read this and answer my question why r men jerks?

when i ask my husband why he didnt call me he gets nasty and answers rude, he could also say things in a nice manner but he gets pissy why does he do this if ur a man tell me why? usually hes so sweet and caring just when i ask why didnt u call yesterday he just gets all defensive and rude which makes me want to cry and not talk to him which will start a fight so i just ignore it to him..should i ask him why he does this?
