What should i do?

okay so i've been staying in my apartment for 3 years never gave management problems, but i've been experiencing problems with them. i've had some maintenance issues going on they haven't taken care of since october '07 and when they do come to fix something they do a half *** job. okay so now i have a problem with a cat. i'm on the bottom floor but somehow a cat has gotten into my bathroom vent. the cat cries and i have noticed an odor in my house i just realized the odor is cat piss, it's really strong and i can't get rid of it. my husband has taken the vent off and can feed the cat, i called management and told them they told me to call animal control, i said okay but my husband has tried to handle it his way he made the hole around the vent bigger and is trying to coax the cat out with food and milk. my question is is this my responsibility or management?
