Why are some prayers just not answered, especially considering...?

Well, just because you pray for something doesn't mean God thinks you should have it. I was dating a non Christian, seriously. After a year, I started praying. I felt like my bf was keeping me from getting closer to God. Well, one day he up and left, for no reason. I realized it was God. Four months later, that bf got saved and came back into my life.
